You Must Give Without Want Before You Can Receive

Zig Ziglar said it a long time ago – the key to becoming successful is in helping other people become successful. All of the worlds’ major religions and spiritual teachings support the same notion – you must give in order to receive. The most successful internet marketers in the business know that this is the key to their success.

But what does “giving” have to do with making your home based business successful?

Whether you are an experienced internet marketer trying to build a successful home based business or you are just starting out, you are probably spending a majority of your time looking for people or tools or information that others can give to you in order to help you succeed. It is absolutely necessary to work hard and do the marketing tasks that need to be done but if you are completely neglecting the “giving” aspect of your business you will have trouble finding true success.

I challenge you to add a new aspect to your home based business. Find your niche for giving. What knowledge or resources do you have to share that could help someone else be successful? Have you offered that knowledge, free of charge, to as many people as you can? Do you have a blog or webpage that centers around helping others succeed instead of helping you get what you want?

Change your mindset to one of giving instead of getting and you will be surprised by the changes. You will be less stressed, you’ll enjoy your work more, ideas will flow more freely and all of this will lead to your home based business’ success.

Is there such a thing as an easy home business? In the world
of network marketing, too many people promote it as an easy
home business but the truth is, it’s tough especially when
one is starting up.

It’s one of the reasons the industry has such a high attrition
rate. Many go in expecting it to be a “piece of cake” yet soon
find it takes more than just signing up and letting things
happen.

Ann Sieg make the point in her hard-hitting report The 7 Great
Lies Of Network Marketing that many people are enticed into
network marketing by being told they don’t have to do any
work and it would be done for them.

They’re told to sign up and the work would be done by their
upline. All they had to do was make a names list and attend
meetings with prospects and they would then be sold on the
idea by their upline. Well, most of you who have been working
an MLM business know how that pans out!

An easy home business creates a get rich quick mentality and
when you are in this frame of mind, then you are really going
to struggle to build a business from home. Once you start
thinking like this, you’ve conditioned your mind to expect
things to happen for you without much of your own sweat equity
but when things don’t happen, you start looking elsewhere.

Too many MLM “corpses” litter the network marketing landscape
after this type of thinking and it’s a strong reason why more
than 90 per cent of start ups end in quitting their business
within the first three months.

Today, with internet network marketing now becoming such a
prominent business model, the same principles apply. Run a
mile when someone is serenading you promising great riches
for very little effort.

With internet network marketing, there is an immediate learning
curve to overcome and it takes time to understand and learn
how to implement online strategies to attract prospects into
your business.

But the good news is, once you know how, then it does become
easier and you’ll be amazed at how effortlessly you can attract
prospects in numbers. But then, and only then, can you start
viewing it as an easy home business.

What you should be looking for is a home business with good training. You will still have to work hard to put it into action but if the training is made available you will be able to move much more quickly than if you have to go out and learn how to do business on your own. Learn efficiently, work hard, and reap the rewards.

Starting An Online Business – Scatterbrained??

Okay, I’m going to state the obvious here, there is a rediculous, mind-boggling, seizure-inducing amount of information on the internet. But you knew that. And I think that most of us would agree that a large percentage of that information is garbage.

Hopefully, if you are looking to start an online business you have been around the internet block a time or two and you can discern the good from the bad. Or, if you are lucky like me you are already involved or are about to be involved in a business that is legitimate and established and they are pointing you in the right direction for your information and training. Even then, when you can pick out the good guys and you have great recommendations to the top names for training and developement, there is STILL a rediculous, mind-boggling, seizure-inducing amount of information on the internet.

That means as you are trying to learn your business or advance your skills you stand a very good chance of becoming….scatterbrained! Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us. I’m fighting it right now. One of the biggest hurdles that we all face, especially when you are starting out, is becoming paralyzed by all of the information. You may even use it as an excuse to not do any of the actual work that needs to be done because you spent all day gathering and sorting information. Don’t do it! Don’t let the information superhighway send you on a detour!

There are a few very good pieces of advice I’d like to pass on to you to help you stay the course.

First, at the end of the day you are going to ask yourself ”Did I accomplish something today that will make a direct impact on advancing my business?” Be accountable to yourself. When you see yourself starting to get overwhelmed with information sorting know that you are going to have to answer that question at the end of the day and what is the answer going to be?

The second, and my favorite, before you close down shop for the night make a list of 5 things that need to be done when you sit down to work tomorrow. Five productive things. Not spending hours reading emails and twitters. That’s not productive, that’s housecleaning. Seeing that list already organized and ready to go on your desk in the morning puts you immediately into an organized and professional mindset. Do these 5 things first! Then you can houseclean.

If you follow those two simple steps it will help keep your mind and browsing tabs in check. Learning and personal development are extremely important to anyone that wants to succeed at anything. Even more important is balance. You can “learn” until you are blue in the face and your laptop explodes but you must balance the knowledge with action and then watch your business take flight.

How Will You Know Which Online Business Opportunity Is Right For You?

I recently responded to a forum discussion about deciding on the right online business opportunity. It lead me to the following thought process that I wanted to share with you…
When you are looking at a business’ structure try to evaluate the following aspects:

the product (is it high quality and in demand? how much competition does it have?)
the training (this is extremely important, lack of training is one reason why more than 90% of people fail)
the marketing plan (online marketing is a competitive world, are they providing you with the tools you need to compete? A capture page, an autoresponder, a funded proposal, a backend product…)
the compensation plan (multiple streams of income is always a plus)
the community (are they available for support and do they give back through charity?)

Outside of the structure of the business you have to look at your connection to the business. You have to have passion, whether it is for the product, the service or the business.
The product that I market for is great and I believe in it but even more than that, what really keeps me going when I hit a bump in the road, is the community of people who built this business with integrity.

You must have something that you are passionate about on a personal level to give you the impetus to always be moving forward, no matter what happens.

You need to figure out now what is going to drive you. It may be a very personal reason but wouldn’t it also be great to have a community that supports you, training that keeps you fresh, a product you believe in….starting a business is hard work so you should find a business that keeps the chips stacked in your favor.

That is the business that is right for you!

How to Achieve Success With Your Online Business

Acheiving success with an online business takes more than a positive attitude and faith in your business. Those attributes are very valuable, of course, but on their own they may not be enough. Yes you must have faith and belief that you will reach your goals. However, success in an online business requires hard work. You can develop a successful business if you have a determined mind set. And yes, you will absolutely need a determined mindset.

Many entrepreneurs overlook an essential aspect of developing their business. Some even think it is unnecessary. The fact is that this aspect is one of the most important keys for you to develop a successful business in the world of online marketing. This investment is in yourself.

When you are trying to build an online business you may get caught up in all the work you put into promoting your business or learning online marketing. That causes most of us to shove our personal development to the side. That is a big mistake and will cost you in your business. Part of your goals must include working on developing yourself as well as your business.

Goal setting is a great start on your path to developing a successful business, but that will not do all the work for you. Sometimes long term goals can seem like unacheivable tasks unless they are broken down into short term goals. The other great thing about short term goals is that you feel a sense of accomplishment when you reach them. Write down your goals. That starts you on the road to turning thought into action.

But How Do You Invest In Yourself?

Maybe you don’t understand what investing in yourself really means. You must see the value in yourself and realize that it is you who is going to take your business to the next level. That means you must learn and constantly improve yourself. This can be obtained with doing motivational exercises to help you get motivated to reach your goals. Without motivation it may be almost impossible to reach your financial goals. A good business will always include personal development and motivation in the program to ensure its continued success.

The internet is filled with motivational material. Even YouTube has inspirational videos to keep you going. Now don’t feel like you are lacking because you have to ‘work’ on yourself. THE most successful people in the world attribute their success to constantly learning.

If you start listening to successful people you will start to develop the mind set that you are successful. It really does work. You will start to feel different. You will start to feel like a successful, motivated person and once you capture that feeling then the results are on their way.

Listening to motivational material everyday will change you. You will be amazed at how it will affect not only your business but every aspect of your life. Remember, every one of us trying to build a successful online business has to face the same obstacles and setbacks. It’s what you do next that counts. How will you stay motivated?

I recently came across this interesting information that I wanted to share with you. A Harvard Study found these 10 traits associated with people who have a powerful sales attitude…

1. They have high self esteem

2. They accept 100% responsibility for their results

3. They have empathy and care about their customers

4. They have above average ambition and desire to sell

5. They are obsessive goal setters

6. They have above average willpower and a determination to succeed

7. They believe in themselves, their product and their company

8. They are impeccably honest with themselves and their customers

9. They have an easy ability to create rapor with anyone

10. They are continually educating themselves with books, cds and classes

A powerful sales attitude would surely help any of us that are trying to create financial freedom by working at home. I like this list because I can see myself in some of the traits but I can also use it as a tool for growth. I can make it a goal to create in myself the traits that are in this list, one by one. There you go - trait number 5 – obsessive goal setting! Check!

If you work at home then your online business success depends very heavily on your attitude. Every one of us faces the challenge of maintaining a positive attitude in the face of a struggle whether it be business or personal. What you do with that struggle will determine the person you become and the online business success you receive.

A human being can alter his life by altering his attitude of mind. If you are struggling in your online business then maybe it is time to take an honest look at your attitude.

OK, if you don’t know who Mike Dillard is please allow me the pleasure of introducing you to a brilliant marketer. He is in a class of teachers that you should be associating with if you want to succeed in your online business.

Speaking of a ‘class of teachers’ …let me digress for a minute. When I first started looking for an online business opportunity I was all over the internet following every offer that came across my computer, most of which were junk. I had so many emails from systems or products I had opted into that I could not even remember what I was supposed to be doing with them. Sound familiar??

Thank God and the Universe, I finally found the right business opportunity. When I figured out the gem I was involved with I dropped everything else – everything! Whew, what a relief to my inbox. People who are outrageously successful AND exhibit integrity in their teaching. I only use systems and products from people that they recommend and people that those people recommend. You follow me?

You need to get involved with his products if you aren’t already. And then take advantage of his system. You can’t go wrong. Even if you don’t use his system you need his information and his connections. You need to follow successful people in order to be successful in your own online business. Remember, you become what you surround yourself with. So please, surround yourself with success. Business Opportunities, Wealth Creation and The Law of Attraction

The wealthiest people in the world are exactly that because of this Law. It’s not an accident, it’s not genetic, they didn’t inherit it (well, most of them anyway). It is the most powerful tool for success, wealth creation, financial freedom and excelling at every other aspect of life yet so few people use it. Even if you are using it – are you using it in your business?

If you are struggling to build your business and you have not yet harnessed the power of this Law then your life is about to change. If you think that this is just crazy, spiritual, esoteric stuff that has no business in your business, think again.

On the flip side, if you are a successful business person and you think you succeeded without the help of the universe….wrong. Many people use the Law of Attraction without even knowing it. I have created things in my life using the law before I even knew it existed and I have also created things in my life actively implementing the law.

That is harnessing the power of the Universe. When you work with the universe instead of against it you will be absolutely amazed at what you can accomplish together.

There is so much to learn about using the Law of Attraction that I can’t possibly put it all in this little space.
